Our Mission

Charles City, Virginia, is a unique place where three cultures, rooted in the nation’s earliest days, intertwine. Our “mission” farm serves as a place where this “three stranded cord” can come together in a strong bond of unity to serve our community.

Promise Land Pastures’ mission is to operate a working farm as a hub for God’s people to come together to create life-sustaining products and life-changing activities

Our vision

Our vision is based on Jesus’ prayer in John 17:20-21 “I pray… that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Promise Land Pastures’ vision is to build TEAMS for each of our focus areas that come together to accomplish more than humanly possible by the power of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit working in and among us.

Farm Production

Farm Products. Promise Land Pastures produces eggs, chicken and lamb meat, honey, seasonal vegetables, some ancient heirloom corn, and 4×4 round bales of hay. All of our products are GMO free, and we never use any chemicals on our property. Our products are used in unique ways to build community and serve those in need.

Mission Projects

Mission Projects. Our farm is a hub for Christian mission outreach. We use the equipment and infrastructure of the farm to empower all the local churches in the area to come together for unified acts of kindness that the Lord Himself orchestrates. Through prayer and loving fellowship with the churches we arrive at special projects that God has prepared for us to do as one team of believers expressing our faith through love.

Mentoring and Education

Mentoring and Education. Promise Land Pastures uses the natural infrastructure of an active farm to provide the perfect classroom of life. From Diesel mechanics, to welding, to plant and animal husbandry, We have provided classes and experiences to give students of all ages hands on learning and training. Real-world live environments with real world skills development.

Events and Experiences

Events and Experiences: A 124 acre farm is a wonderful world of experiences that many people never get to enjoy. Promise Land Pastures provides life changing events and activities with the natural wonder of land, plants, and animals. We offer several different kinds of events to groups that range from entertaining, to educational, to inspirational. These events provide training, team building, and growth–both personal and corporate.

Innovations

Innovations and Invention! Historically, farms have always been a seedbed for innovation and invention. From the three-point hitch to the combine harvester the farm has been a place where people come up with new methods and machines!
