Students can be involved in propagating plant seedling and learn composting basics utilizing on-farm manures and compostables. We are experimenting with raised bed techniques for organic garden and greenhouse projects. We also plan to be an experimental testing ground for innovative trials with a wide variety of growing technologies such as: aquaponics, vertical growing, and integrated systems with chicken tractors and livestock rotations. 

Our goal is to demonstrate techniques for growing that can be scaled to a business, or provide fresh vegetables for a single family with highly successful backyard gardens. We want to develop increasing food production ventures on the farm to provide food for selling in local farmer’s markets and farm stands as well as making top-tier food products available and affordable for the less fortunate in the community.
